Tales of Monkey Island Ep 1 App Reviews

I did not have any lag problems or glitches at all on my iPhone 4. Im guessing the people complaining are either using older phones or have too many apps running. My one complaint is the cost of buying multiple episodes. It makes it a little pricy once you buy all the episodes. That said I wish that more of their games were available on the iPhone.

Lags WAY too much PLEASE FIX

The game itself is awesome. Story, characters, voice acting, puzzles... The problems with it are more about the functionality of the app. Its very choppy and laggy. Also, anytime you tap your iPhones home button to check a txt or anything for a second, when you click the game to resume it you have to watch the Lucas Arts title screen and the headphones recommendation screen again for some reason. EVERY time. Makes it very unfun to play when multitasking.

I figured out how to fix the lag. Delete all from your multitasking bar. It worked for me on my 3rd gen iPod Touch. Anyways the review: This game is one of the funnier games Ive played in a while! Its also free right now so thats a bonus! I give it 5 out of 5!

I downloaded this game for free. It at first lagged a lot, but after clearing all of my videos and music it ran really smoothly. I had to knock off a star for that. Otherwise, the gameplay is fun and the story is catchy. I especially liked the cliff hanger ending.

Im playing on a 2nd gen Touch and cant get past the opening puzzle because I cant get Guybrush to walk rather than look at stuff. Looks like it would be fun if I could get past it...

i have all of the other monkey islands and have waited for this one to go on sale and when it went on sale for free i got it, only to get a jettery and slow app that crashes every time i try and get guybrush to move. also i cant get off the freaking island!!! please fix!!!!!!

Now that retina is supported, and multitasking works as well, this game is simply fantastic. Great gameplay, fun story, nice graphics! My original review: The game is great, except for 2 very frustrating shortcomings. First, the graphic is very pixellated, as retina display is not supported. Second, the game drops to the main menu every time you switch to something else (like a phone call), as rapid app switching (part of ios multitasking) is not supported either. Fix these two things, and I will up my rating.

I was hoping the update would optimize the game some for older phones like my 3GS. Now, though, I cant even get into the game. It shows the loading text for a second and then exits. Unplayable.

Feels like old times. Graphics look beautiful on a retina display. Didnt experience any lag, but I am playing on a 4S. Definitely going to check out the next episode.

It wont even start.. Loading text for a few seconds and then it crashes to the springboard. Really badly made. Im on iPod touch 4 generation.

The game was intermittently crashing on launch, but now it constantly does.

Works completely fine on my iPhone, havent experienced any crashes or anything. I hope the series continues because I have been playing Monkey Island for forever!

For those who have the crashing problem try play other games to run ur battery down then it will work

Crashes after a couple seconds of the loading screen. Wish I could play it. I love all the telltale games!

Its pretty expensive to have it crash every time you open it...loading screen for 2 seconds and back to home screen. I was really excited when I saw this too
